Community Corporation of Santa Monica (Community Corp.), owner and operator of affordable housing throughout the city of Santa Monica is currently hiring for part-time Resident Managers. These new positions will ensure that the assigned property (ies) is/are managed effectively, and our residents are well served. Resident Managers must regularly interact with Community Corp. staff and tenants. Several positions are currently available. This is a great time to join our team!

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Rent collection and delivery to Main Office
  2. Pick up prepared notices and post promptly.
  3. Enforce landlord rules, lease provisions and parking agreements
  4. Prepare detailed written reports of accidents, injuries, or incidents on the property
  5. Oversight of the assigned property including writing and submitting work orders and follow-up on requested maintenance
  6. Provide good customer service to tenants and resolve concerns quickly
  7. Host open houses for vacant units, assist with move-in/move-out administration
  8. Ensure that Property Supervisor remains informed about the property and prepare and deliver any required documentation
  9. Maintain curb appeal of the property
  10. Ability to reside at the assigned property
  11. Monitor pool water levels (if applicable)
  12. Oversee community room scheduling and maintenance (if applicable).
  13. Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements Include:

  1. The ability to follow through and carry out work schedule.
  2. Good problem-solving and customer service skills and the ability to stay organized
  3. Good verbal and written skills
  4. Hardworking and energetic
  5. Able to work outdoors and survey the property regularly
  6. Must be able to recognize odors that could indicate smoke, fire, chemical or other hazardous odors
  7. Must be able to climb stairs and lift up to 10-lb
  8. This position requires the ability to sit and use office equipment and computers.
  9. A high school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
  10. Successful completion of a credit check and criminal background check
  11. Must reside at designated property and be available to work approximately 20 hours per week
  12. Must have regular access to a computer to receive electronic communication from the main office
  13. Reliable transportation as some local travel is required and good driving record with a valid CA driver’s license.
  14. Please note Community Corp. has a NO pet policy.

Note you must meet the income restrictions based on the household size.

Income Qualifications

Applicants MUST MEET mandated housing income qualifications per funding regulatory agreements for consideration for the position.

Commensurate with experience.
